Biography

Dr. Edward Chou is an Associate Director on the Takeda US Medical Value and Evidence Generation Health Economics and Outcomes Research team. He currently leads and executes three marquee research programs to deliver rigorous real-world evidence for US HEOR priority strategy needs. Prior to joining Takeda, Edward was a university faculty member and academic researcher studying disease management strategies and patient outcomes of multiple chronic conditions (cancers, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases) with a focus on health disparities. He mentored PhD/MS/PharmD students and medical residents/fellows, and taught graduate courses in research methods, biostatistics, pharmacoepidemiology, social and behavioral theories, and health program evaluation. Edward received his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from National Taiwan University, his MS in biostatistics from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and his PhD in health services research from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in health economics and outcomes research with Duke Clinical Research Institute and Novartis.
