xCures VP Discusses Leveraging RWD Registries to Provide Personalized Care to Oncology Patients

August 26, 2021

Vice President of Research Partnerships at xCures Max Goldstein discusses using real world data (RWD) to better understand which patients will respond to cancer treatments. Despite extensive data from randomized controlled trials, knowing how a patient will respond to a given therapy remains a challenging question. Sources of RWD, such as the xCures registry, could greatly improve care.

Goldstein remarks, “We must change the perception that research can only happen in the clinical trial setting. Patients outside of trials can participate in research, too, simply by making their own patient data available to researchers. If patients can learn how to make their data available to these researchers, they can participate in helping to solve the precision oncology challenge.” Read more here.
