Using RWD for Rare Diseases

OM1’s Kathryn Starzyk, senior director of real-world evidence, in a recent tHEORetically Speaking blog post outlines how real-world data tools can be used to tackle key hurdles in the rare disease landscape.

RWD, for example, could help streamline diagnoses, she writes.

“The ability to use the totality of data available for patients to empower artificial intelligence (AI) applications – allows us to go beyond a priori assumptions, standard decision trees and algorithms and truly aid clinicians,” Starzyk writes.
