New IQVIA Report on Market Access in 2027 Highlights Key Healthcare Trends Including Move to Value-Based Healthcare, Fragmented Payer Management, and Higher Costs for Patients

IQVIA recently published its market access guide on key healthcare trends. In the next five years, out of pocket costs for patients are expected to increase, a growing number of models will move to value-based care, and payer management will become more fragmented, among other trends.

“All these factors will create a very different relationship between the biopharmaceutical industry, payers, physicians, and patients. The often conflicting challenges facing stakeholders will remain, but new approaches to co-operation and risk-sharing will be vital. In practical terms, this will increasingly depend on mutually beneficial contracts to bring innovative products to patients at reasonable costs and with minimal administrative delays.” Read more here.
