JMCP Article Highlights Impact of Patient Experience on Value Framework

A recent article, published in the Journal of Managed Care and Specialty Pharmacy (JMCP), discusses how to incorporate the patient experience (PEx) in health technology assessment (HTA) value frameworks (VFs). The study discusses at which level the patient experience can be incorporated, as well as tools to improve patient centricity.

The authors remark, “Proposed PEx domains could be implemented at multiple levels of healthcare decision making to formalize consideration of PEx in the assessment of value, either through the extension of existing VFs or to create new PEx-focused VFs and more holistic decision making tools.” Read more here.
