This Friday, June 24th, Health Affairs Editor-in-Chief Alan Weil will sit down with Admiral Rachel Levine, the US Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Assistant Secretary for Health. Adm. Levine has overseen much of the department’s public health efforts since being appointed to the role by the Biden Administration.
According to Health Affairs, “As a pediatrician prior to joining HHS, Adm. Levine was focused on the intersection of mental and physical health, treating children, adolescents, and young adults. She was a Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the Penn State College of Medicine, and earlier was Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs for the Department of Pediatrics, and Chief of the Division of Adolescent Medicine and Eating Disorders at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
