This phenomenon, called social health, can help all health stakeholders if appropriately implemented. The analysis shows that engagement with social health occurs more frequently when certain situations arise. A new article from Health Union breaks down the top 5 of these scenarios, including understanding test results, learning about new treatments, and more.

According to Health Union, “Patients who describe themselves as playing an active role in treatment are more likely to feel they actively seek out information about the latest condition medications, and more likely to go online to read other patients’ opinions of a medication than those who do not play an active role.”
