Despite Legal Mandate, Hospital Pricing Data Can Be Difficult to Access

Federal legislation aimed to promote price transparency in healthcare calls for hospitals to disclose their prices. Some hospitals have not yet posted this information while others have elected to use formats that are only usable by computer programmers.
