Assessing the ISPOR HEOR Competencies Framework in the Real World Could Inform Postgraduate Training

The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) has organized 41 competencies across 13 topics into the ISPOR Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Competencies Framework. A recent article, published in ISPOR’s Value & Outcomes Spotlight, details how the framework supports candidates in HEOR fellowships. Both technical and soft skills were found to be critical for success. Study findings could inform fellowship programs throughout the United States.
