Shah: COVID-19 Pandemic Proves Challenging for Evidence-Based Medicine

In a recent opinion piece published on STAT, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Obstetrician Dr. Neel Shah says the COVID-19 pandemic is proving a critical challenge to evidence-based medicine.

“The speed at which knowledge is evolving is humbling,” Shah writes. “Nearly every day the New England Journal of Medicine and other journals publish new case reports that change our understanding of the virus.”
