The role of health preference research (HPR) in healthcare decision-making is rapidly expanding. Despite this, HPR is rarely a standalone course in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) programs. It is important for New Professionals to have a basic understanding of HPR methods, how their use differs from other sources of patient-provided information (e.g., PROs), and the current landscape of how decision-makers, including regulators and HTA bodies, incorporate HPR into their work. This webinar is a collaboration between ISPOR’s Health Preference Research Special Interest Group and the New Professionals Network. It will provide a basic introduction to the use of health preference research in HTA.
