Dr. William Morice on Applying RWE to COVID-19 diagnostics
October 8, 2020
One of the most critical pieces of the COVID-19 puzzle is diagnostic testing that enables rapid diagnosis and treatment of infected individuals. As vaccines are deployed, identifying those who already have antibodies will be key in distributing the vaccine in the most efficient manner. William Morice, II, M.D., Ph.D., Chair of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic and President of Mayo Clinic Laboratories, has led the way in developing and releasing some of the first serologic and neutralizing antibody tests for COVID-19. In this interview, Dr. Morice discusses the potential applications and limitations of real-world evidence (RWE) in refining diagnostic testing for COVID-19. Read the full interview here.
